Hypercharge Team @ Sydney Powerhouse Museum!

Yesterday some members of the ERC App. Development group were involved in the inaugural Mini Maker Faire held at the Sydney Powerhouse Museum. This was a great opportunity for the team to display their work and allow attendees of the event to create resources/ sprites that we will include in future updates. We were able to demonstrate our coding skills by including graphics created at the stall within Hypercharge in minutes. One aim of future updates is to not only include these sprites but to also allow a "create a ship" function........ eventually.

We are pleased to informed you that your project Hypercharge has been successful, and

will be included in the 2013 Sydney Mini Maker Faire.

We received over 60 applications for this inaugural Faire, covering a wide selection

of Australia’s creative community, and the quality of applications received was extremely high. Competition for a place within the Faire was strong, and overseen by a panel made up of staff from the Powerhouse Museum and prominent members of the Maker community.

Yet there were icon size compatibility issues with the building of this update.

Sounds like a simple issue? It should be! Yet not a lot about the app submission process is simple at all.

Hopefully it won't be rejected on the grounds of this simple (at present) unfixable issue with Adobe Air 3.9/ Flash Pro.

Hypercharge 1.1 (coming very soon) will be compatible with iOS7!

This will correct the orientation and bizarre microphone access issues that resulted upon the release of iOS7.

Well Done Kaden - 1st saved graphics from Thursday

Here's one of the first SAVED ideas for the main ship by Kaden. Yes of course the two halves need to be 'glued' together. Yet it is a good start. Probably some more detail on one half for the fuselage before completion.

I didn't SAVE my comments though (remember 10!). I just took a screenshot to upload here.

I'm thinking that the game could allow a choice of main ships though, or ship upgrades? Therefore we'd get to use everyone's ideas.
